For hardworking students, summer should be a time of well-earned rest and recovery—a brief pause after long months of dedication, late-night study sessions, and the relentless demands of academic life. Recharged and ready, many anticipate returning to their studies with renewed focus. But for international students, especially under policies that have grown more hostile since the Trump administration, returning to the United States isn’t as simple as boarding a plane. Despite their diligence and contributions to academia, many now face uncertainty and anxiety about clearing customs and navigating arbitrary or unjust obstacles at the border.

To help prepare returning students, the LUCE campus network has prepared a Zoom lecture to help you prepare for the return. The lecture will be held on August 5, 2025, at 7:00 PM Eastern Standard Time and is free for all. Please share this with all returning international friends.
